Thai Students with Disabilities are Being Shut Out of Employment!
All over Thailand, students with disabilities are denied opportunities to learn skills that are employable and align with their unique abilities and disabilities. Furthermore, studies show that employers wrongly assume that all persons with disabilities face the same workplace challenges, ignoring that those with, for example, physical disabilities can excel in IT and software development jobs. These prejudices prevent capable individuals from contributing to society and living a fulfilling life.
Code The Future: Empowering Students with Disabilities through Education in Programming and English!
In the first Phase of The OpenSkills Project, we want to empower students with disabilities through education in IT, programming and English. Our goal with Phase 1, also called “Code the Future”, is to enable our students to excel in the job market and stand out to in the eyes of employers by providing them with valuable technical and life skills. By investing in the talents and potential of persons with disabilities, we are not only helping them to achieve their dreams but also working to create a more inclusive and diverse society.
