The Poverty Trap
But Technology can be their Friend
Technology can be a poor child’s best friend. Learn to use it and the internet to learn. But teachers do not use technology.
But Poor Education is a Problem
Village schools are poor. Teaching is traditional memorizing, Children are are bored. Most students can not speak English.
Decades of conflict in Myanmar have left large numbers of displaced refugee children behind.
And Rural Areas are left behind
Village children do not get the same education as city children. Many drop out, get stuck in low paying jobs and remain poor.
To help village children out of poverty
To help and encourage the young generation to be the architects of their own future, to take charge of their learning.
To bring Technology to the Children
To introduce Technology and Internet as Learning Tools
We encourage and help young learners, campers to help themselves
We arrange Free Learning Camps
In our Camps young villagers learn to use technology and interent to learn about the world, to share, present and express their own opinions. And they learn and gain the confidence to speak English.
We use Learning by Doing
Our campers are encouraged to learn with the help of technology. Local peers and overseas volunteers help and inspire them. They search online, then share what they learned in presentations and onlineVlogs. They learn to discuss and debate.
We start a Life Long Learning
We provoke and encourage Independent Thinking
And our Camps are Free!
No costs for the camps: lodging, food, fun activities and the thinking is free too!
Help young people take charge of their own learning!

Unequal wealth and incomes mean poor families cannot afford quality education for their children. Thailand enjoys the dubious distinction of being the world’s most unequal nation. Technology can be the poor child’s best friend. If they knew how to use technology, they could use the internet as a learning tool. But poor schools are under-ressourced and teachers don’t know how to use technology !
Children are not motivated to learn. They are bored when they learn by memorizing English and other subjects. Many students can’t even speak English even after many years of study.
Decades of conflict in Myanmar have left displaced refugee children behind.
Village children do not have the same educational opportunities as children in cities. Many drop out early, get low paying jobs and remain poor !
Inspire learners and they will help themselves
Our learning camps give students the confidence to communicate in English. Students are inspired to use technology in order to develop and express their own opinions.
We believe students perform best when they are inspired to learn with the help of technology, local peers and overseas volunteers. Students are encouraged to search online for information and then share, discuss and debate their findings.
